JERICHO RETURNS JULY 6th PDF Print E-mail
Written by CBS

ERICHO, CBS's drama about how residents of a small, peaceful, Kansas town band together to survive in the wake of a nuclear explosion, will return to the Network beginning Friday, July 6 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).  Rebroadcasts of episodes from the first season will air in the Friday, 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT time period for the remainder of the summer.

JERICHO, which last week received a seven episode mid-season order following an impassioned display of fan support, will return on July 6 with a rebroadcast of the pilot episode.

On July 13, CBS will present back-to-back broadcasts beginning with "Return to Jericho" (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), which recapped the first 11 episodes, followed by episode 12, "The Day Before" (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), which launched "Jericho's" spring return.

The remaining summer broadcasts will consist of episodes 13-22, in which tensions continue to escalate between Jericho and the neighboring town of New Bern as they battle the Kansas winter, dwindling resources and the uncertainty of a new world. The citizens of Jericho must now find a way to unite against these hardships, working together to preserve their community and their way of life as they prepare for an all out battle for survival in the season finale.

Jon Turteltaub, Stephen Chobsky and Carol Barbee are executive producers of JERICHO for CBS Paramount Network Television.

POPULAR NBC DAYTIME STAR ALISON SWEENEY NAMED NEW HOST OF NBC'S HIT REALITY WEIGHT-LOSS SERIES 'THE BIGGEST LOSER'

"Days of Our Lives" Beloved "Sami" Joins the Series as it Prepares Production on Season Four

BURBANK, Calif. -- February 20, 2007 -- Alison Sweeney, one of daytime television's most beloved actresses, joins NBC's hit reality show "The Biggest Loser" as the new host of the weight-loss series, which will begin taping its fourth season this spring.

"Alison is an incredible talent and will bring not only a great fresh face to the show but a huge, loyal fan base," said Ben Silverman, executive producer and Reveille CEO. "We are thrilled and look forward to another strong season."

Sweeney has portrayed villainess Sami Brady on NBC's hit daytime drama "Days of our Lives" since January 6, 1993 and will continue to star on the series while hosting "The Biggest Loser." For her performance tackling a variety of controversial storylines from a rebellious teen to an accomplished single mother on "Days," Sweeney has garnered numerous award including The Soap Opera Digest Awards four times (1986, '98, '99 and 2001) for the role of "Favorite Villain," "Favorite Good Girl" and "America's Favorite Villain." Her television credits also include "Las Vegas," "Friends," and her memorable freak-out on the celebrity edition of "Fear Factor."

Since her debut as "Sami Brady" on "Days of our Lives," Sweeney has personally struggled with her weight issues, which she candidly discussed in her book All The Days of My Life (So Far), which was published in 2004 to critical acclaim. She currently maintains her slim look by running after her 2-year-old son and working out at Boot Camp as many days a week as her production schedule allows.

The first reality series in which everybody "loses," "The Biggest Loser" challenges and encourages overweight participants to undergo radical physical makeovers, without any kind of surgery, in a safe and recommended manner through comprehensive diet and exercise as they complete for a grand prize of $250,000. The series has become a worldwide hit airing in over 35 territories and 15 countries. It has also produced a New York Times best-selling book and a burgeoning online lifestyle club www.biggestloserclub.com .

"The Biggest Loser" is a production of Reveille LLC, 25/7 Productions and 3 Ball Productions. Ben Silverman (NBC's "The Office," "Ugly Betty"), Dave Broome ("Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope," "Radio Music Awards"), JD Roth ("Unanimous," "Beauty and the Geek"), Todd A. Nelson ("Unanimous," "Beauty and the Geek") and Mark Koops ("Blow Out," "The Restaurant") serve as executive producers.

NBC JUMP STARTS THE SEASON WITH THE PREMIERE OF 'THE BIGGEST LOSER' SEPTEMBER 11 PRECEDED BY HOUR-LONG 'WHERE ARE THEY NOW?' SPECIAL ON SEPTEMBER 4 REUNITING FAVORITE 'LOSER' CONTESTANTS

Series Features New Host Alison Sweeney, "Back to Basics" Concept, Fresh Campus Location, Twin Contestants --and the Surprise Return of Trainer Jillian Michaels Joining Bob Harper and Kim Lyons

BURBANK – June 11, 2007 -- NBC will boost its two-hour season premiere of "The Biggest Loser" on Tuesday, Sept. 11 (8-10 p.m. ET) with the special "Where Are They Now?" – a tantalizing hour-long appetizer for broadcast the week before on Tuesday, Sept. 4 (8-9 p.m. ET) in which viewers can catch up with the progress of previous favorite "Loser" contestants.

The announcement was made by Ben Silverman, Co-chairman, NBC Entertainment and NBC Universal Television Studio.

"This is an innovative way to re-introduce an audience favorite and answer the question everyone asks – 'Did they keep the weight off?'" said Silverman. "The series will also kick off with a bang when Jillian makes a surprise return to take on fellow trainers Bob and Kim to help change the lives of what is sure to be our most memorable group of 'Loser' hopefuls yet."

In the fourth season premiere of "The Biggest Loser," the contestants will go "back to basics" -- working out at a new location without any of the luxuries of the ranch -- and for the first time ever, a set of twins will be competing, as well as our oldest contestant ever at 62. Returning for the new season are trainers Bob Harper and Kim Lyons with new show host Alison Sweeney (NBC's "Days of our Lives") – along with former "Biggest Loser" trainer Jillian Michaels, who returns in a surprising new twist.

The series' second episode will also be a two-hour on Tuesday, Sept. 18 (8-10 p.m. ET). The series will then air in its regular time period (Tuesdays 8-9 p.m. ET) the following week on Sept. 25.

In the hour-long "Where Are They Now?" special (Sept. 4, 8-9 p.m. ET), contestants from the first three seasons will return to "The Biggest Loser" campus for one last weigh-in. Viewers will hear about their struggles -- including how they try to keep the weight off – and learn what has transpired in their lives since their appearances, including surprise "at-home" visits. Additional contestants will also be spotlighted as it paints a realistic picture of how difficult it can be to remain trim -- and how some have gained back weight but hope to shed the pounds again. Over 6,000 pounds have been lost on "The Biggest Loser" scale to date, and we will find out if that weight has stayed off.

The first reality series where everybody "loses," "The Biggest Loser" offers severely overweight participants the opportunity to undergo a radical physical makeover without any kind of surgery.

The series challenges and encourages overweight contestants to shed pounds in a safe and recommended manner through comprehensive diet and exercise as they compete for a grand prize of $250,000. The unscripted and life-altering reality series gathers contestants from across the country to face real-life temptations, while being provided with approved weight-loss skills and resources in an effort to help them transform their bodies, health -- and ultimately -- their lives.

"The Biggest Loser" provides the 18 strong-willed, yet hopeful, contestants with challenges, temptations, weigh-ins and eliminations until the final contestant remains to claim the title of "the biggest loser." Each team works out under the supervision of professional trainers.

The series has become a worldwide hit airing in over 75 territories with 25 local productions. It has also produced two New York Times best-selling books and a burgeoning online lifestyle club www.biggestloserclub.com that allows those at home to learn all they need to live a healthier life.

"The Biggest Loser" is a production of Reveille LLC, 25/7 Productions and 3 Ball Productions. Ben Silverman (NBC's "The Office," "Ugly Betty"), Dave Broome ("Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope," "Radio Music Awards"), JD Roth ("Age of Love," "Beauty and the Geek"), Todd A. Nelson ("Unan1mous," "Beauty and the Geek") and Mark Koops ("Blow Out," "Shear Genius") serve as executive producers.
