"Episode
408A" - The seventh couple will be dismissed on "Dancing with the Stars
the Results Show," TUESDAY, MAY 8 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC
Television Network. Singing sensation Nelly Furtado hits the dance
floor, performing two songs -- "All Good Things," from her latest
album, "Loose," and her hit single, "I'm Like a Bird," from her
freshman album "Whoa Nelly!" She will be accompanied by 2006 World
Rhythm champions Tony Dovolani & Elena Grinenko and professional
dancers Louis van Amstel & Cheryl Burke. Viewers will also get a
look at a day in the life of beloved judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli
and Carrie Ann Inaba, and be treated to a special dance-off between
Maksim Chmerkovsky and his brother, Val.
Late-night talk show
host Jimmy Kimmel ("Jimmy Kimmel Live") will be featured in his weekly
segments entitled "Dance Along at Home with Jimmy Kimmel." This week
Jimmy will demonstrate the Waltz.
By evening's end, the couple
with the lowest composite score will be eliminated, as determined by a
combination of the judges' scores and viewers' votes. Who among the
following five teams will be dismissed from the competition?
Laila Ali (undefeated world boxing champion) and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Billy Ray Cyrus (actor & singer on Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana") and partner Karina Smirnoff
Joey Fatone (*NSYNC star) and partner Kym Johnson
Apolo Anton Ohno (Olympic speed skating gold medalist) and partner Julianne Hough
Ian Ziering (TV & Broadway star) and partner Cheryl Burke
"Dancing
with the Stars" is the U.S. version of the international smash hit
series, "Strictly Come Dancing." This version is produced in America by
BBC Worldwide Productions. Conrad Green is executive producer and Izzie
Pick is co-executive producer. Rob Wade and Matilda Zoltowski are
supervising producers. Alex Rudzinski directs.
"Dancing with
the Stars" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV
format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP. It
carries a TV-PG parental guideline. |
