REAL ESTATE: YOUR NEXT MOVE," ON A SPECIAL EDITION OF ABC NEWS' "20/20," FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 AT 9:00 P.M., ET

From buying or selling a house to the tricky world of home improvements, "20/20" helps viewers navigate the ever-changing world of real estate in a special edition of the program, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network (Note: This will precede another, separate edition of "20/20" from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET)

Reports include:

* Jim Avila reports on one contractor who decided to strike back against customer complaints.

* One section of the housing market is reaching new heights -- doggie mansions. Doesn't your pet deserve a slate roof and air conditioning and a flat-screen TV? That's what some pampered pooches are calling home sweet home. Chris Connelly reports.

* Hiring a contractor for a home renovation is tricky business -- many are incompetent, some are outright crooks. Mike Holmes, a contractor and host of a hit Canadian television series, tells viewers how to find the good ones and how to handle problems that come up while your home is under renovation. Deborah Roberts reports.

* Bill Ritter reports on how to nail that sale in today's marketplace by adopting an auction-like approach and using tools like the internet.

* Real estate family bonds: Elizabeth Vargas reports on the impact the real estate downturn is having on sellers. "20/20" follows two couples whose life plans (marriage and divorce) are on hold as they try to sell their homes.

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and John Stossel. David Sloan is executive producer.
