NEW YORK - October 4, 2007 – It's a week full of laughs on Bravo when James Lipton sits down with funny man Billy Crystal on "Inside The Actors Studio," the Fab Five make over an entire family on "Queer Eye," and Joy Behar guest judges a battle of the sexes featuring comedians on "Better Half."
"INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO: BILLY CRYSTAL:" Host James Lipton proudly welcomes five-time Emmy award winner and Golden Globe nominee Billy Crystal to the stage on Monday, October 8 at 8pm ET/PT. Ten years after his first appearance on Bravo's 13-time Emmy-nominated "Inside The Actors Studio," Lipton catches up with the author, actor and comedian discussing his diverse career in comedy, film and writing. Crystal shares what it was like to win a Tony Award for his one-man show "700 Sundays" and what his least favorite sound is, "anything that comes from the White House." "Even More…Inside The Actors Studio" at www.BravoTV.com with exclusive bonus clips of Crystal as he commands the stage with his ever-present wit and humor.
"QUEER EYE:" It may be the Fab Five's toughest challenge yet…"Queer Eye for the Straight Family!" On Tuesday, October 9 at 10PM ET/PT, the Fab Five meet the Roth family - they have all the makings of a modern day Partridge family, but something is off key. This artsy family moves to the beat of their own drummer much to the dismay of their practical dad Larry. His artist wife, musical son, and two daughters do not know the meaning of a hard day's work and Dad is growing more concerned with the bottom line. The Roth's just want some harmony, but what they really need is a lesson in empathy and a meeting of the left and right minds. The Fab Five storm the scene to reconnect this warring family and teach them to see things from each other's point of view. "BETTER HALF:" In the second episode of Bravo's new reality competition series "Better Half" on Wednesday, October 10 at 11 PM ET/PT, it's a battle of the sexes as two novices, Ciara and Stephanie – a model and a scientist– take on the jobs of their "better halves" and try their hands as stand-up comedians. Ardie and Joe are both professional comedians who perform at New York City's top clubs. But now the joke's on them as teaching the art of comedy is not as easy as it seems. Comedian and host Susie Essman can attest to the challenge facing these ladies: "One minute in stand-up time is like ten hours in real life time… everything slows down and you're just walking through molasses." With only two days of training from their partners, the women will ultimately have to compete at a famed New York comedy club in front of a packed house and panel of expert judges (veteran comedians Joy Behar, Eddie Brill and Sommore) for a chance to win $20,000. Both women must take the stage – but only one will leave the Better Half. Susie Essman gives viewers behind the scenes scoop on her blog at www.BravoTV.com.
